XMPie uStore

uStore Sample (demo)

XMPie uStore® allows service providers, creative agencies and corporate marketing departments to quickly build e-commerce-enabled stores for ordering everything -  from personalized documents -  to e-mail programs -  to customized point-of-purchase materials. uStore makes it simple to set up branded, Web-to-print applications without involving programmers.

With uStore, you can even tailor the pricing, preferences, permissions, design customization and print parameters to fit each customer. uStore quickly guides you through the creation of as many online stores as you would like. Each store you set up can have a unique look and feature a specific set of products for a defined user group.

For stores set up with specific user groups, each customer is assigned a unique login, providing you with complete control over the products and pricing specified for their account. If you decide to open your uStore to casual users, customers can create their own logins for ordering on the site, opening your business to the Internet.

uStore is an add-on product that seamlessly integrates with XMPie’s other one-to-one marketing communications products.

Create and deploy sites right out of the box, complete with shopping cart and e-commerce modules, or use XMPie’s Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to create custom digital storefronts.

Getting Started with uStore

You control the setup of your store via a set of forms. You set the name and appearance of the store, add products to the store within product groups, set up customization parameters for each document and add the data for pricing, tax and shipping tables.

Design your Documents

Once your store is set up, you post your variable data designs to the site for end-user ordering. When building the design, you can determine which variable elements are editable by the shopper. By creating designs with any XMPie product in either a uDirect® desktop or PersonalEffect™ server-based configuration, you retain all of the workflow, creative, VDP and integration benefits of XMPie. PDF proofs and VI Output files are composed by the Adobe InDesign® Server or XMPie XLIM™. In addition to variable pieces, static documents can also be posted in a standard format, such as PDF, and processed or printed via any method.

The Visitors' Experience at the Store

When the designs are posted, you are ready for visitors. Upon selecting an item, customers are guided through the process – customization, uploading data and images, viewing costs, reviewing and approving the proof, selecting quantity, print priority, shipping options and ordering. Upon submission, a confirmation and order summary is provided. In the “My Account” section, the customer can view pending and past orders, modify and resubmit orders, view and edit account information and manage recipient lists.

In addition, customers can select their preferred language and can customize a document using a Rich Text editor feature, which allows them to control the font, style, size and color of text. Customers can also customize and order not only print, but also e-mail campaigns, with just a click of a mouse.

Customize your Store for your Operation

As a proprietor of a uStore-driven site, you have access to store orders, can set priorities for pending orders and move orders between stages, including approval, processing, ready to ship and shipped. These stages can also be added, removed and edited.

Extend your Store's Capabilities

To take uStore even further, you can extend or leverage its core features and capabilities with plug-in modules. XMPie provides plug-ins for pricing, shipping options, messaging, list provider systems, product specifications and more. uStore users can also further customize their stores with information unique to their operation, such as a local shipping option or special billing, by extending XMPie’s plug-in architecture.

Define Events that Trigger Actions

Triggers can also be set up to take action on specified events. For example, a confirmation e-mail can be sent when an order is placed.
