Compatibility
PersonalEffect 8.0 is compatible with:
● uStore 8.0.3 and above
Note: uStore XM operates in 1G mode only. When using uStore XM, the 1G XM components should be installed: uCreate XM and RURL Wizard.
● Marketing Console 2.4
● uCreate XM (1G) is compatible with Adobe CS6 and CC-2014. It does not support Adobe CC-2015.
● uCreate Digital (2G) is compatible with Adobe CC-2015.
● XMPie desktop products require either 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Adobe software, such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. All Adobe software must be in the same bit mode. For example, you will not be able to work with a 32-bit Adobe Photoshop software and a 64-bit InDesign software.
● To avoid compatibility issues, make sure that you install the English version of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator CS 6/CC-2014/CC-2015 (with the latest updates).
● In a configuration that includes an Adobe InDesign CC-2014/CC-2015 server with Adobe Photoshop CS 6 software, make sure that uImage files that are created with Adobe Photoshop CC-2014/CC-2015 are compatible with previous Photoshop formats. Note that features that are not supported by Adobe CS 6 will be discarded.
● Photoshop CS 6/CC-2014/CC-2015 must be installed on the uImage server.
● It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain a Photoshop and/or Illustrator license from Adobe. Now that Adobe offers only a subscription-based license, XMPie can no longer provide Adobe licenses.
For a detailed description of compatibility with third-party software and hardware, see the "System Requirements" section in the Customer Expectations Document (CED).
● Windows: Firefox, Internet Explorer 11
● Mac: Safari, FireFox (before OS 10.10)
In 2G we no longer support data sources that are rarely used. 2G supports the following data sources:
● SQL Server
● MySQL
● Oracle
● OLE DB/ODBC Connection String
● Access
● Excel
● CSV
● MS XML Record Set
● Counter
XLIM does not support InDesign Scripting and Programmable Graphic Elements (PGE).
Any machine that runs uImage must have an active Internet connection from the time of installation and forward due to Adobe’s subscription-based licensing model.
XMPie PersonalEffect does not support installation on computer systems that utilize Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). For more information on Federal Information Processing standards and guidelines, refer to the National Institute of Technology and Standards (NITS) website at: http://www.nist.gov/itl/fipsinfo.cfm
In order for your Custom Delivery Provider to continue to operate, you must recompile the delivery provider with the new interface. This is required due to a change in the plugin interface. This is relevant only for delivery providers that are using the latest plugin interface, that includes the 'template' mode.
