This section outlines differences in 2G compared to 1G and highlights important issues.

Helicon

In 2G, Helicon will no longer redirect from the friendly URL to the target URL, but instead will proxy the target resource.

Document Types Supported in Email

In 2G, email no longer supports URL documents as the email content.

VDX Print Output Format

The VDX format is not supported in 2G.

Supported Delivery Providers  

 2G supports ExactTarget Enhanced, SMTP  and custom delivery providers.   It does not support the legacy ExactTarget plug-in or the XES Express (beta).

Internet Connection

To be able to work in 2G, an outbound connection (port 443) from the uProduce machine to the cloud is needed.  Organizations that do not connect to the Internet cannot work in 2G.

XMPL Installation

The installation of the XMPL Server is not trivial and requires careful attention to the sequence of installation and configurations.   See the PersonalEffect System installation Guide for details.
