PE Cluster configurations are available in 3 editions: Enterprise Print, Platinum Cluster and Platinum Site.
PersonalEffect (PE) Enterprise Print
The PE Enterprise Print Edition is a multiple server solution for variable data printing and is ideal for enterprises that are required to produce high volumes of one-to-one print materials. This edition delivers the full power of XMPie variable data print solutions, including data-driven charts and graphs. The PE Enterprise Print Edition includes unlimited copies of PersonalEffect VDP desktop components and is easily scalable if required, with the addition of extension servers. The redundancy of the cluster configuration meets the fault-tolerant requirements that many organizations insist upon.
PersonalEffect (PE) Platinum Cluster
The PersonalEffect Platinum Cluster Edition is a multiple server solution for creating a wide variety of personalized communications including: variable data print, personalized images, data-driven charts and graphs, personalized website landing pages (RURLs) , e-mail and mobile text messaging. Also included in this edition is XMPie uStore® - a web-to-print solution for e-commerce-enabled storefronts and uProduce® Marketing Console Premier – the ideal solution for tracking, analyzing and refining VDP and cross-media campaigns. PersonalEffect Platinum Cluster is is easily scalable and is perfect for enterprises that require reliable, fail-over operation.
PersonalEffect Platinum (PE) Site
The PersonalEffect Platinum Site Edition is the ultimate solution that includes all the functionality as described above for PE Platinum Cluster. With this edition, customers are offered an unlimited number of PE desktop components within a single site. The PE Platinum Site Edition is the ideal solution for larger organizations and offers the highest levels of functionality, redundancy and fail-over capabilities.
Superior Processing Speeds with Fail-over Capabilities
PersonalEffect Cluster features two additional software components – uProduce Director and uProduce Extension Servers to help maximize processing speed, enable or enhance parallel processing and provide fail-over capabilities.
uProduce Director is a software solution that manages a PersonalEffect Cluster site. Resident on its own dedicated computer, uProduce Director services all interactions with the network, supports the uProduce Web-based interface, handles all API calls, and coordinates the work of the Extension Servers in handling the heavy processing load of production. In addition, uProduce Director can also collaborate with other uProduce Director servers in high-resiliency installations.
uProduce Extension Servers are the processing engines of the cluster. The more Extension Servers installed, the higher the production bandwidth and the higher the resiliency in the event of a server failure. Each uProduce Extension Server is an independent unit and a cluster is scalable to as many extension servers as necessary. Extension servers can be added at any time, expanding as your business grows.
